Rifugio Gigante Baranci at the mountain station of the chairlift at 1,493 m is a comfortable mountain hut with cosy traditional "stube" and a self-service restaurant. An ideal location for business dinners!
The hut is located on the Monte Baranci in San Candido. You can reach San Candido easily by bus or train. Afterwards the four-seater chairlift, which is only 3 minutes away from the center of San Candido, takes the guests quickly up to 1.500 m a.s.l..

The world of fairy tales

Mount Baranci is fascinating both in winter and summer. In summer, children (and families) can discover the legend of the Baranci Giant through the family trail in the forest, cool off in the two footprint-shaped lakes, and have fun in the Gnome Village. Everyone can enjoy typical local dishes at the refuge, which offers plenty of space, a large self-service restaurant, and an à la carte menu. The staff is always very helpful.

A stop for children but also for adults

A wonderful day spent with friends and children. Suitable for everyone, families and young people. I recommend it as a stop for anyone vacationing in this area.

Cute!

Very charming location, friendly staff. The Sacher torte and strudel are delicious! We are happy to stop for a break while skiing.

Fantastic place

We went to the Gigante Baranci refuge for lunch after a nice hike. It's very beautiful and charming, and the food is excellent. Highly recommended.

Dream vacation
