Mont Avic Regional Park (Champorcher visitor centre)

The Champdepraz Visitor Centre is the ideal starting point for discovering the Mont Avic Natural Park and the surrounding area. A place designed to welcome visitors, provide in-depth information and offer a first introduction to the natural richness of this protected area.
At the centre, visitors can watch films and view photographs dedicated to the Park and, thanks to the expertise of qualified staff, receive detailed information and informative materials about Mont Avic and the entire network of Alpine protected areas.
A visitor trail dedicated to the rocky landscapes, wetlands and forests of the Val Chalamy, designed to engage visitors through interactive displays and installations. Here, the "secret park" is revealed: all those elements of nature that often escape our attention because they are difficult to perceive or because they require a respectful and discreet approach.
A space dedicated to educational activities, screenings, conferences and temporary exhibitions, designed to explore themes related to nature, culture and environmental conservation.
A 1:5,000 scale model that faithfully reproduces the Park and its surroundings. Special markers allow visitors to identify the boundaries of the protected area, the main trails and the most important topographical features, including peaks, mountain passes, lakes, alpine pastures and inhabited areas.
