Gran Paradiso national park (Valsavarenche visitor centre)

The Valsavarenche Visitor Centre offers a fascinating journey exploring the lives, survival strategies and habits of the large predators that inhabit Gran Paradiso National Park. The undisputed star of the exhibition is the lynx, whose story is told through captivating dioramas that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the natural environments of Valsavarenche, where this elusive feline lives.
The Visitor Centre also houses the Wolf Space, a documentation centre dedicated to the presence of the wolf within the protected area. Here, visitors can consult testimonies and information materials, observe two taxidermied wolf specimens, explore interactive multimedia content and deepen their knowledge of this fascinating species through a selection of publications and digital resources.
The Visitor Centres of the Park in the valleys of Cogne, Valsavarenche and Rhêmes also host three Alpine Convention Information Points, where visitors can find information and documentation about this important international agreement for the protection and sustainable development of the Alpine region.
