In winter it is in a strategic position as it is close to the slopes of Alta Badia and Sella Ronda. In the middle of the Dolomites, between the Adige and the Piave, between Val Gardena, Val Pusteria and Belluno, in 1433m altitude, is the renowned resort of La Villa, Alta Badia’s most central village. Dominated by Ciastel Colz, an ancient castle located in the historic part of the country where a small characteristic church can be found as well. La Villa,(in Ladin La Ila) is the most central village in Alta Badia.
