Castle Beseno

Beseno Castle, the largest fortified complex in Trentino, still bears the signs of its vicissitudes throughout the centuries.
Like all medieval castles, it had a predominantly defensive function; this is shown not only by its strategic position, which renders the castle inaccessible and allowed extensive territorial control from above, but also by its massive walls.
The current look of the fortress, in the renaissance time characterized by the three powerful bastion useful for employment of firearms, was restored in the 16th century.
Now the castle is a museum and hosts cultural manifestations and historical memories.
