Holidays high above Merano: The holiday region Hafling - Vöran - Meran 2000 offers mild climate and fantastic views.

The villages Hafling and Vöran are located on a sunny high plateau above the Merano basin from where a wonderfully scenic road begins. In both summer and winter the holiday region offers a variety of activities, promenades, hikes or challenging mountain tours as far as your feet take you. Explore the country by bicycle or on horseback. Enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Texel-, Brenta- or Ortler Group. Even the Dolomites and the Ötztaler Alps are visible. The climate is very mild from springtime until late autumn and is a real inspiration for promenades and hikes. Cosy restaurants are perfect for a hearty "Marende", as the traditional light meal with cold cuts is called. A day of recreation can be concluded in a convivial gathering.

From December until March the Merano 2000 skiing area offers winter pleasures that cannot be matched. A skier’s paradise with ideally maintained slopes, well-kept cross country ski tracks, toboggan runs, but also charming snow hiking and trekking trails, there is no limit to the winter sport opportunities on offer. Modern lift facilities guarantee a smooth holiday, there are four chair-lifts, a cabin compartment cable car, a ski-lift, a ski-lift for youngsters and a ski kindergarten. A modern ski school, hotels, restaurants and cosy Alpine ski huts invite you to spend marvelous winter holidays in this unique landscape.
