Vallagarina is the door of Trentino, an alpine Region in the North of Italy, a welcome for people from the South and a goodbye for friends that come from the North to reach Lake Garda.
Rovereto is represented by different ages, from the Jurassic of the dinosaurs, to the Venetian domination of the XV century, from the buildings of 1700, to the events of the Great War and the big international museums, such as Mart, or the famous peace bell Maria Dolens.
All around, Vallagarina is a valley to discover with all the senses, by meeting the producers of wine, grappa, cheese and cured meats of Alpine huts, vegetables of Gresta Valley, honey, saffron, truffle and herbs.
You can cross the valley slowly, with breaks in pretty ancient villages, in the medieval castles, immersed in the vineyards of the valley bottom, or in the wine cellars, where you can taste the typical wines of the territory.
Un po the mountains the pre-Alpine pastures of Brentonico in the Natural Park of Monte Baldo, the terraced fields of Gresta Valley cultivated with the organic vegetables, the rocky peaks of the Little Dolomites of Vallarsa, the alpine huts and the typical products of Leno Valleys.
During the summer the whole Vallagarina becomes a stage for events, the nice season is also ideal to discover the mountains of the area with guided trekking or to ride a mountain bike on stunning tracks.
