The webcam overlooks the municipality of Nova Levante / Welschnofen in the Val d’Ega / Eggental facing the Catincaccio / Rosengarten massif. The Rosengarten Group lies between the Tiers Valley, the Eggental, and the Fassa Valley, within the Sciliar–Catinaccio Nature Park / Naturpark Schlern-Rosengarten. It forms part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site and is well known for the phenomenon of alpenglow (enrosadira): depending on the position of the sun, the rocks take on a deep pink to violet colour, especially around sunrise and sunset. Nova Levante is a highly popular tourist destination throughout the year. It offers numerous hiking opportunities and, thanks to its proximity to the Carezza Dolomites ski area, also countless options for winter sports. Thanks to this webcam, you can check the current weather and snow conditions in this valley in South Tyrol / Südtirol, close to the city of Bolzano / Bozen.
