Overlooking the forest and Sasso Santa Croce mountain, Garni Ciasa Urban is 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of Badia, in Alta Badia, in the middle of the Dolimites. It serves traditional home cooking at its restaurant and wooden Stube bar. Ciasa Urban offers a choice of rooms and apartments, all featuring balconies or terraces with sun loungers and mountain views. Each one has a traditional South Tyrol design with parquet floors, wooden furniture and bathroom with shower, bidet and WC. You also have free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. Homemade cakes and juices, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese and quark from the farm, yogurt and cereals are served at the buffet breakfast. In the restaurant you can try the ladin dinner, as also other local dishes, like "cajincí", barley soup with "turtres", "Knödel", apple strudel, furtaia. You can relax out in the garden where you find a children’s playground and a terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers. During summer, BBQs are arranged in the mountains while in winter you can enjoy a mulled wine outdoors in the snow. Free parking and garage is provided for cars, bikes and motorcycles. The Alta Badia ski slopes in Dolomiti Superski are less than 5 minutes away by car and you have a ski storage area with boot warmer.

Beautiful accommodation with very good restaurants

The house is in a stunning location. The Urban family is incredibly warm and welcoming. Mrs. Urban is a real sweetheart who is also an excellent cook. We felt very well cared for. In the evenings, we often went to the small bar, where Martin, the Urban family's son, was usually there. It was great to have a good chat and a few jokes with him. It would be nice to have some background music, just playing in the background. As a singer, I missed that. Perhaps you could offer that next time. Otherwise, we were very happy and will definitely come back. A big thank you also to the daughter of the house, who took wonderful care of us. And let's not forget the owner, who even cleared the snow off our car. In short: We were very well looked after and felt so comfortable that we felt like part of the family. Fantastic

We spent eight days at Ciasa Urban in Badia (Pedraces) and everything was wonderful. The hospitality, helpfulness, courtesy, and professionalism of Mrs. Tecla, her husband, and their son Martin made us feel pampered. The excellent, elegantly prepared cuisine satisfied our palates. They provided us with precise directions for hikes and were always attentive to our every need. The room was clean and spacious, with a magnificent view. What more could we ask for? We'll be back next year!

Wonderful holiday

When you stay in Val Badia, you always return home happy and relaxed. This is also thanks to places like Ciasa Urban, which treated us to three wonderful days. This family-run establishment was extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in an ultra-comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean room, overlooking the spectacular Mount Santa Croce. We will definitely be back.
