During the Christmas season, Macugnaga transforms into a small open-air museum: nativity scenes , carefully and passionately crafted by the locals, come to life in the town’s hamlets.

A slow walk, to be taken calmly, to be surprised by traditional scenes, simple materials and details that tell stories of the mountains, of community and of memory.

The nativity scenes accompany residents and visitors throughout the town, creating an authentic and intimate atmosphere, where Christmas can truly be felt: in the discreet lights, in the simple gestures, in the silence of winter!
