PROGRAM
Immerse yourself in legend: explore the enchanted paths of Monte Rosa with an expert guide, on the trail of gnomes and fairies. Venture into the heart of the mountain: visit the Gold Mine with Riccardo, keeper of hidden treasures.
Relive local traditions: Visit the Ancient Walser House Museum and discover the secrets of the past. Make your own Walser leprechaun: While Mom and Dad are at the museum, join the workshop and...have fun making a Gotwiarghino!

Passing through the Miners’ trail accompanied by a hiking guide, you’ll discover some interesting facts about the area and the Guia Gold Mine, which you’ll visit in the hamlet of Fornarelli. After a short walk of about 5 minutes, you will arrive at the Ancient Walser House Museum in the hamlet of Borca. In this place, adults will take a journey through time, knowing the secrets of the Walser community, an ancient Alpine population that settled in Macugnaga starting in the 13th century. Meanwhile, the little ones will have fun, participating in the fantastic creative workshop, where they will make their own backwards-footed gnomes, the Gotwiarghini: mischievous little Walser wood goblins who roam the heart of Macugnaga with their lanterns!
