In Search of Gold in Val Quarazza – Lake of the Fairies

A family adventure amidst nature, streams, and the ancient trails of gold prospectors.

Spend a day in the mountains discovering the history of the ancient mines in the upper Anzasca Valley. Accompanied by a local hiking guide, we will set off from Isella towards Val Quarazza, traversing forests, streams, and alpine landscapes.

During the hike, you can transform into real gold prospectors for the day and try your hand at finding precious gold flakes using a *batea*the traditional wide, shallow pan still used today to separate gold from sand and sediment.
