Canyon della Sorna – Family Edition

Take a plunge into the canyon carved by the Sorna stream – helmet and head torch on – as you explore ancient mines, suspension bridges above dark chasms, fairy-tale caves, and smooth gorges shaped and sculpted by water.

Does your child love adventure and get bored on ordinary walks? Would you like to take on a challenge together? Then this outing is just right for you!

With an experienced guide, you’ll set off from the small village of Cornè, walk through the woods and descend to the Sorna riverbed, where you’ll come across the "el pont del Diaol" – an atmospheric old bridge at the point where the stream plunges into a gorge about 30 metres deep. The walk continues via equipped stairways to the old mines along the riverbed.

If you’re feeling brave and the water level and temperature allow, you’ll even have the chance to swim in natural pools – a true immersion in the Monte Baldo Nature Park!


Duration: approx. 6 hours including breaks
Ascent/Descent: approx. 350 metres
Difficulty: moderate to challenging – not so much physically demanding, but due to the nature of the activity
Clothing & equipment: comfortable walking clothes, hiking boots (mandatory for the water section), waterproof jacket, backpack, water bottle, head torch, full change of clothes, towel, spare shoes, food and snacks
Minimum age: 6 years
