From Vinschger Paarlen rye bread and Puschtra Breatlan farmers’ bread to Schüttelbrot flat bread, country-style baked goods have always been an important part of life in Brixen. So it’s no surprise that the old town alone has around ten bakeries, each offering a unique selection of tempting goods. On the first weekend in October each year, Brixen celebrates its baking traditions.
