Every Friday, from the beginning of May to mid-October, farmers from the Sterzing area offer their local quality products at the farmers' market. At the market in the town square of Sterzing, people meet for the weekly purchase of local South Tyrolean products or for a "glass of wine". On six summer evenings every Wednesday, the town centre of Sterzing / Vipiteno turns into a mile of culinary delights in the glow of lanterns. Live bands perform in the cosy alleys and folk dance groups perform in old traditional dances. Street kitchens, Italian and South Tyrolean culinary specialties and the local craftsmen sell their most beautiful products. At 8.30 am a Holy Mass will be held. Afterwards there will play different bands traditional alpine folk music. The visitors will be offered many local specialities and delicacies.
