Every Friday, from the beginning of May to mid-October, farmers from the Sterzing area offer their local quality products at the farmers' market. At the market in the town square of Sterzing, people meet for the weekly purchase of local South Tyrolean products or for a "glass of wine". Traditional Schuhplattler from all over South Tyrol create a great atmosphere at the various mountain huts. The focus here is on fun, entertainment and the love of tradition. Clapping, jumping and the traditional yell of joy are part of every typical Schuhplattler dance and tempt many to join in.
