An 11 km food and wine walk along the Water Trail, past old mills and sawmills
An 11 km food and wine walk along the Sentiero dell’Acqua (Water Path), among ancient mills and sawmills, through the villages of San Sebastiano, Tezzeli, Cueli-Liberi, Carbonare, Prà di Sopra and Nosellari, immersed in nature, of an easy level suitable for everyone and families with children. It is a journey into the past where the protagonists are not figurants but the inhabitants of these villages, who open the doors of their houses and faces, display the objects that belonged to their ancestors and tell, as those who love their land know how to do, anecdotes and stories of real life.
Along the route, ‘Enjoyment Points’ will be set up where participants can taste typical local products made exclusively on the Alpe Cimbra!
There will also be visits to the ‘Mein’ sawmill, the ‘Cuel’ mill (which will turn its 100-year-old ‘Vespoch’ wheel) and along the Nosellari Trench hiking trail.
Along the trail, numerous illustrative notice boards will be placed, telling the history of these places.
The culture of these ancient farms will be accompanied by the background sounds of the Astico torrent. Colours and flavours will merge into a unique and delightful experience. You will meet musicians, lace-makers and many characters who live on the mountain pastures.
A one-of-a-kind event, rich in history, nature and culinary pleasures, all to be discovered: 1000 participants are expected at the 2025 edition who will be able to leave from San Sebastiano between 8.00 and 11.30 o’clock and decide how fast to travel the entire route. Arrival at the last stage by 16.00 o’clock.
The event starts from San Sebastiano, goes down towards Val Freda to continue subsequently to the third and fourth stages, Telder and Orbat to then reach the hamlet of Cueli-Liberi, from here we continue for a stretch on the "Sentiero dell’Acqua" arriving at the Ponte dei Leoni and then to Carbonare. Once arrived in Carbonare we go up towards the "Capitel" and continue towards Prà di Sopra, the penultimate stage before Nosellari, the final destination of our event.
It is about 11 km completely immersed in greenery, of an easy level suitable for everyone, even families with children.
The event will have a limited number of participants, maximum 1000. There will be a physical ticket office at the start if there are still free places.
