Ala, a City of Velvet
A weekend of events featuring interactive exhibitions, creative workshops, shows, circus performances, fairy tales, and games. A widespread celebration that, for three days, rewinds the thread of time and takes you back to the 18th century – with elegant costumes and magical atmospheres. Each day, costumed characters and roaming performers can be encountered in the streets and squares.

Schuplattler groups provide entertainment and create an authentic cultural experience on the various pastures.
Traditional Schuhplattler from all over South Tyrol create a great atmosphere at the various mountain huts. The focus here is on fun, entertainment and the love of tradition. Clapping, jumping and the traditional yell of joy are part of every typical Schuhplattler dance and tempt many to join in.
