Apple Festival

Autumn is here, and the apples have been harvested.
The traditional Apple Festival takes place every year on the second Sunday of October in Natz-Schabs, attracting many visitors. Of course, the apple plays the starring role!

During the festive parade, a huge apple crown made of 3,000 yellow and red apples captures everyone’s attention. The festival kicks off with a traditional morning gathering featuring Weißwurst (white sausage), pretzels, and music.

At 2 p.m., the grand parade begins, with many decorated floats, the festival carriage carrying honored guests, and marching bands winding their way through the village.

No Apple Festival would be complete without the reigning Apple Queen and her successor. The coronation of the new Apple Queen takes place after the parade. Afterwards, everyone celebrates together, sampling freshly harvested apples and browsing the farmers’ market for handcrafted products.
