From our first contact with Anna, we were so pleased with her kindness and promptness in replying to our impromptu visit to Aosta. Anna was a true delight and unexpected gift to us for what we were looking to gain from a tour of Aosta. She made our experience easy and spent much more time with us than we had expected, which we gratefully appreciated.
Although the tourist office had sent me numerous names of English speaking guides, it was our AI program that lead us to her. She was very interesting and shared with us her love for all of the history of Aosta, Roman, Christian and Medieval.
She kept us enthralled with her extensive knowledge of the area and paced our tour very well for keeping us moving, in the shade, when at all possible on a very hot day. We especially appreciated her knowledge of early Christianity including St. Anselm. Many in our small party were Episcopalians (Church of England) and knew of this saint who we had always associated with Canterbury so it was a welcome pleasure to learn that he had come from Aosta. We also enjoyed learning about the symbolism in the architecture and paintings in our visits to churches, the cathedral and in the Cloister of Sant'Orso.
We couldn't say enough good things about our visit to Aosta with Anna. We highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn from someone who truly loves her city and is looking for an engaging way to absorb a visit to Aosta. We are so glad we found her.
During our stay in the Aosta Valley, we had the great pleasure of meeting Hanna Zacharczyk and exploring the city of Aosta under her guidance. It was one of those encounters that stays with you long after the journey has ended.
We met quite by chance near the Archaeological Museum in Aosta. At first, we spoke in German, but after a few moments we discovered that Hanna was Polish. We immediately struck up a warm rapport, and she kindly offered to take us on an evening walk around the city. It turned out to be the most memorable evening of our stay in Aosta.
Hanna also recommended a local restaurant where we enjoyed an absolutely delicious burger topped with steak tartare – one of those unforgettable culinary experiences that remains just as vivid in your memory as the breathtaking scenery.
Thanks to Hanna, we discovered not only the history, architecture and most important landmarks of the city, but also the region's culture, local traditions and traditional cuisine. Her stories were fascinating, rich in knowledge and shared with genuine enthusiasm. What made the experience particularly special was that she took us to places that no guidebook mentions – hidden corners, local curiosities and stories known only to the people who live there.
Hanna is exceptionally knowledgeable, kind and attentive. Her warmth, openness and outstanding knowledge of the region made the tour not only informative but also thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring. We left the Aosta Valley with a far deeper appreciation of its history, landscapes and cultural heritage.
We wholeheartedly recommend Hanna to anyone visiting this remarkable region. Thanks to her, our trip became a truly unforgettable experience.
Thank you, Hanna!
