Oulx is a town located at 1066 meters above sea level, between peaks that reach 3000m, the meeting point of two important communication routes: the one that goes through Montgenèvre to Turin and the one that arrives from the Frejus tunnel by rail and road.
"The Queen of the Piedmont Alps", in summer and winter, with or without skis, nature, sport, culture and fun at high altitude. Lying in a sunny hollow at 1.300 m above the sea, surrounded by beautiful mountains, with peaks over 3.500 m.
Avigliana is a medieval city with the green heart, situated at the beginning of the Susa Valley, at 20 km from Turin and on the Francigena Way: an historic-cultural and artistic heritage rich in evidence.
Graus Vald, green valley, is the probable meaning of the name with which the first Celtic inhabitants called Groscavallo, a greenish-picturesque plain in the beautiful context of the eastern Levanna and the Uja di Gura and Ciamarella, the last municipality of the valley.
