Sights Val di Sole and Val Rendena

The museum houses the collection of artefacts and memorabilia gathered by Emilio Serra, who spent around forty years carrying out research in the mountains of the Val di Sole – the scene of fierce fighting from June 1915 to October 1918.

The Austro-Hungarian fortress was built between 1860 and 1861 at an altitude of 1,538 metres, with the purpose of controlling and defending the final stretch of the road. Located just off today’s State Road 42, about four km from Vermiglio and six from the Tonale Pass.
