Mountain hut with rooms Passo di Cassana

The Rifugio Alpino al Passo di Cassana offers hikers and mountain bikers lodging and boarding, with high mountain hotel service. Located on the Italian-Swiss border (between Livigno and the Engadine), between the Stelvio National Park and the Swiss National Park. Created by Nelda Gabriella Pianta and Giovanni Battista Galli in 1983 and obtained from the renovation of a military defense barracks of the First World War, it respects its structural characteristics. Guests find here a large outdoor terrace overlooking a unique panorama, from Ortles-Cevedale, Glacier of the Stelvio to the Pizzo Bernina Group, and inside, two large dining rooms, on the ground floor and upstairs, as well as five comfortable rooms with beds, linen, heating and bathroom with hot shower.
Reservations are recommended for mountain guides, excursionists and mountain bikers. Large and varied the possibility of excursions at high altitude of one or more days, ascent, trekking and cycle-excursions.
