Webcam towards the Belvedere Glacier, Macugnaga-Monte-Rosa

The webcam towards the Belvedere Glacier is part of a monitoring project regarding the glaciers of Monte Rosa. On the right side of the image one can see the east face of the Monte Rosa massif until the peak of the mountain Nordend, and the Jägerhorn. The Belvedere Glacier is a popular winter destination for ski-mountaineers. It can be reached by both, a chairlift and a hiking trail, which leads from the hamlet of Pecetto di Macugnaga through the beautiful wildlife reserve of Macugnaga. This webcam contributes to the monitoring of Belvedere's movement, as the glacier tounge is fed by the overlying glaciers.
