This webcam from the mountain hut Zamboni-Zappa is part of the project "ghiaccio vivo" (“living ice”), which aims at monitoring the conditions of the great Monte Rosa Glacier. The mountain hut Zamboni-Zappa is located at the foot of the eastern side of Monte Rosa, in the valley of the Alpe Pedriola meadows, which is part of the Anzasca Valley. The area is popular among hikers, thanks to its spectacularly and a number of varied hiking routes, some of which are easily accessible. The hut with restaurant and accommodation services is the ideal starting point for real alpine adventures or easy excursions in the surroundings. In the pictures of the webcam, one can also see Belvedere Glacier towards the Italian-Swiss border.
