B&B + Apartments Alter Schlachthof

The "Alter Schlachthof" is a B&B and café-bar-restaurant with a guest garden on the banks of the Eisack river in the centre of Brixen’s old town. The historic building dating back to 1852 was given a new lease of life in 2016 when it was renovated. The special architecture of the building was largely preserved and the interior was reinterpreted in a modern and at the same time respectful way in relation to the old structure. In 2016, the restaurant and B&B was awarded the Italian Architecture Prize for Hotel and Restaurant Architecture for its unique redesign.

B&B with unique bunks under the roof for a very special kind of overnight stay. The cosy sleeping caves with a double or bunk bed and a small but fine bathroom fit perfectly into the sloping roof. Old wooden beams and simple yet modern furnishings create a unique atmosphere.
In addition to the bunks, there are also classic guest rooms in newly renovated rooms in the ‘Alter Widum’. There are also flats for up to 6 people for more space for friends or family.
No matter what you choose: after a restful night, a great breakfast buffet awaits you in our cosy ‘living room’ on the ground floor.

Menu: enjoy really good organic coffee, selected South Tyrolean wines, liqueurs and creative cocktails, there’s one thing you shouldn’t miss: our own craft beer Viertel Bier, which is produced in our brewery in Schabs.
Freshly harvested seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as meat of the highest quality. Dry aged meat from the grill makes the hearts of meat lovers beat faster. In addition, we have a young, hip kitchen team that shares our passion for valuable, local food, harmonises culinary tradition and trends.
