Visit to the historic coffee roastery of Rovereto

At Torrefazione Bontadi, a journey through time and space awaits you, discovering a centuries-old culture and the different stages involved in producing this remarkable product. Co.Bo., the Coffee Museum of the Bontadi Collection, tells the story of this company from 1790 to the present day.

As you enter, the essential oil of coffee will fill your senses with its fragrance, while you discover where in the world the coffee plant is cultivated and how to distinguish the colour of a freshly harvested bean from that of a roasted one.

Continuing along the route, you will encounter more than 300 pieces of coffee-making equipment, many of which are splendid examples of early twentieth-century Italian design by Achille Gaggia, Cimbali and Faema: roasting equipment, espresso machines for cafés, travel coffee machines designed for ships, trains and motorcycles, moka pots, coffee grinders, and beautiful collections of hand-painted cups.
