Lantern party Sterzing / Vipiteno

On six summer evenings every Wednesday, the town centre of Sterzing / Vipiteno turns into a mile of culinary delights in the glow of lanterns. Live bands perform in the cosy alleys and folk dance groups perform in old traditional dances. Street kitchens, Italian and South Tyrolean culinary specialties and the local craftsmen sell their most beautiful products. The lantern festivities have established themselves as a culmination of the summer months and delight both citizens and guests.
The beginning of the lantern evenings is set on 7 pm, the parties take place in all weather conditions. All of Sterzing is up until the lights go out at 11pm.
