The Hotel Serena deserves

A South Tyrolean-style hotel, excellent food, friendly staff, and ample free parking. Overall, a hotel I'd definitely return to. My room may have been a little small, but it wasn't a problem, as it's only for sleeping.

I feel like I’m part of the family

An unusual strong point is the organization of guided excursions by Karl, the owner. The cuisine is excellent, the wine list very well represented, and the waiting staff has two strong points in Speranza and Guido, attentive and fast. Breakfast in the morning is exceptional, as is the salad buffet. Compared to other facilities, I would have preferred greater attention to my lactose intolerance.

A pleasant surprise

Returning to the Dolomites after six years and having explored most of the valleys over time, we stayed at the Hotel Serena to get to know Alta Val Badia. It was a wonderful 10 days. The hotel, in addition to welcoming us and providing excellent service in the rooms, meals, and other amenities, surprised us with its wellness center and pool, which were very welcome after a day's hiking. The staff was always helpful, courteous and made us feel pampered. We'll definitely be back. We've already recommended it to friends and family.

An unforgettable week in the heart of the Dolomites

We stayed at Hotel Serena for a week and felt pampered from day one to day two. The Crazzolara-Eisenstecken family welcomed us with truly special kindness, attention, and warmth, making us feel more than just guests, but guests of their home. The day we arrived was also my birthday, and during dinner, they left a beautiful birthday card on my table, accompanied by a gift: a honey liqueur. It was an unexpected gesture that touched me deeply and that I will always cherish. During our stay, we were fortunate enough to experience some truly inspiring moments. One day, the village band, all dressed in traditional Ladin costumes, came to play right below the hotel, before continuing through the streets of Badia. We suddenly found ourselves immersed in an authentic and beautiful tradition. The aperitif organized by the hotel was also very pleasant, full of delicious treats. The Ladin dinner was also unforgettable, with waiters dressed in traditional costumes, delicious dishes, and a family member who entered the room playing traditional local instruments and music. It was an engaging, moving, and atmospheric experience. We didn't just stay at Hotel Serena: we immersed ourselves completely in Ladin culture, through the food, traditions, music, and the family's hospitality. A special thanks also for the attention given to our Billy. Every morning and evening they prepared his meat, always delivering it to us hot. For those traveling with their dog, finding such kindness and sensitivity is not a given. We also really enjoyed the pool and the beautiful relaxation area, especially the heated water beds, perfect for relaxing after hiking. Even on the day of our departure, the owner wanted to say goodbye by giving us another liqueur: the last of many kind gestures that made this holiday truly special. Heartfelt thanks to the Crazzolara-Eisenstecken family and the entire staff at Hotel Serena. You made us feel welcomed, pampered, and a part of your wonderful homeland. We're returning home with so many memories, but also with the desire to return soon. Highly recommended in every way.

Una settimana indimenticabile nel cuore delle Dolomiti

Siamo stati ospiti dell’Hotel Serena per una settimana e possiamo dire di esserci sentiti coccolati dal primo all’ultimo giorno. La famiglia Crazzolara-Eisenstecken ci ha accolti con una gentilezza, un’attenzione e un calore davvero speciali, facendoci sentire non semplici clienti, ma ospiti di casa.
Il giorno del nostro arrivo era anche il mio compleanno e, durante la cena, mi hanno fatto trovare sul tavolo una bellissima lettera di auguri accompagnata da un regalo: un liquore al miele. È stato un gesto inaspettato che mi ha emozionato moltissimo e che porterò sempre con me.
Durante il soggiorno abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vivere momenti davvero suggestivi. Un giorno la banda del paese, con tutti i musicisti vestiti negli abiti tradizionali ladini, è venuta a suonare proprio sotto l’albergo, per poi proseguire per le vie di Badia. Ci siamo ritrovati improvvisamente immersi in una tradizione autentica e bellissima.
Molto piacevole anche l’aperitivo organizzato dall’hotel, ricco di cose buonissime. Indimenticabile poi la cena ladina, con i camerieri vestiti negli abiti tradizionali, piatti deliziosi e un componente della famiglia che è entrato nella sala suonando strumenti e musiche tipiche del territorio. È stato un momento coinvolgente, emozionante e pieno di atmosfera.
All’Hotel Serena non abbiamo soltanto soggiornato: ci siamo immersi completamente nella cultura ladina, attraverso il cibo, le tradizioni, la musica e l’ospitalità della famiglia.
Un ringraziamento particolare anche per l’attenzione riservata al nostro Billy. Ogni mattina e ogni sera gli preparavano la carne, consegnandocela sempre calda. Per chi viaggia con il proprio cane, trovare una disponibilità e una sensibilità simili non è affatto scontato.
Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo anche la piscina e la bellissima zona relax, in particolare i lettini ad acqua riscaldati, perfetti per riposarsi dopo le escursioni.
Persino il giorno della partenza il proprietario ha voluto salutarci regalandoci un altro liquore: l’ultimo di tanti gesti gentili che hanno reso questa vacanza davvero speciale.
Grazie di cuore alla famiglia Crazzolara-Eisenstecken e a tutto lo staff dell’Hotel Serena. Siete riusciti a farci sentire accolti, coccolati e parte della vostra meravigliosa terra. Torniamo a casa con tantissimi ricordi, ma anche con il desiderio di tornare presto. Consigliatissimo sotto ogni punto di vista.

Pleasant atmosphere and excellent breakfast

This is my tenth stay at Hotel Serena, and as always, I was really looking forward to it. The pleasant atmosphere, the excellent breakfast, and especially the superb dinners always contribute to a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The hikes led by the owner are particularly wonderful and always a special experience. After an eventful day of hiking, I enjoy relaxing in the sauna or steam room. As a regular guest, I always enjoy meeting nice people – both guests I know from previous stays and new acquaintances. For me, the Hotel Serena is a wonderful place with everything I need for a pleasant and relaxing stay. I always enjoy coming back.

Perfect location. The owners, like true friends, take you on daily excursions to the most beautiful trails in Val Badia. Excellent cuisine, complete relaxation in the wellness center. What more could you want from a vacation?

Highly recommended hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days and I have to say we really enjoyed our stay; the location is strategic, just steps from the center and very close to public transportation. Very clean room, top breakfast and dinner. Special thanks to all the staff, always friendly and helpful.

Beautiful weekend

Upon arrival, we were greeted with kindness and professionalism, and given helpful advice for the next day's excursions. We chose to dine at the hotel, and both dinners were excellent, featuring typical local ingredients and dishes. The surprise for my partner's birthday was also greatly appreciated. The strudel was excellent! We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts, both for the variety and quality! Our stay was particularly fortunate, given the heavy snowfall, but the hotel allowed us to have a perfect stay! We intend to return!
