4 Days of Ski Touring in the Maira Valley

I discovered this Agriturismo in the summer of 2019 while exploring the region by bike. I was captivated by the incredible atmosphere of this small hamlet of Morinesio and the excellent food at Alpes d'Oc. I decided to try it again in winter for ski touring with my partner, and nothing has changed. The welcome is very warm, the room is comfortable and quiet, and the food is just as good and plentiful at every meal. I can only highly recommend this agriturismo to lovers of nature and Piedmontese cuisine — you will be made to feel very welcome.

A weekend to repeat!

We stayed at this beautiful farmhouse for the weekend and had a great time! Beautiful apartment, warm welcome from the staff, excellent and plentiful dinner and breakfast. An ideal place to relax, take walks in nature, and set off on a ski trip! We'll be back in the spring to meet the alpacas!

Room stay with half board

Beautiful, very unique place, far from traffic and noise, different from more traditional accommodations. Unique cottages and rooms, very welcoming owners, and regional cuisine (for those who request it), featuring fresh ingredients and some prepared by the staff. We recommend it to everyone, especially nature lovers.

An absolutely enchanting place

The farmhouse is located in a wonderful village. The apartments have a beautiful view. The owners are very kind and helpful, offering useful information for visiting the most beautiful places in the Maira Valley and providing delicious local products. We'll be back.

Authentic mountain environment ideal for a relaxing and unwinding holiday

As soon as I arrived, I was struck by the ancient mountain village, beautifully maintained and cared for, just like all the villages in the valley, which are definitely worth a visit. The property is welcoming and equipped with everything you need, even for stays of several weeks. The apartment we stayed in has, in addition to a very panoramic balcony, a charming furnished terrace that opens onto the roof: well-exposed, private, and also with a splendid view. The cuisine is excellent, featuring local products, some of which are homemade—like the truly remarkable blackcurrant liqueur—and the breakfasts and dinners are hearty and delicious. The staff is particularly kind and helpful. A special mention also goes to the friendly alpacas raised on the farm, who produce a superb yarn from their furs.

A welcoming and refined balcony

We stayed at this property, on a half-board basis, during the first week of August 2025. We found the location to be splendid: a veritable balcony overlooking the Occitan Alps, with breathtaking views, as well as a convenient base for walks and excursions in both the Upper and Lower Valleys. We were also extremely pleased with the hospitality of the owners and staff in general, as well as the quality of the locally sourced food: from the yogurt to the polenta, to the delicious Cassis d'Oc digestif (produced on the farm itself), etc. Highly recommended.

An unforgettable holiday

The owners and staff are exceptional. They welcome guests with warmth, courtesy, kindness, and friendliness. The village of Morinesio, located about 1,500 meters above sea level, is beautiful, and the apartment we stayed in is extremely comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Morinesio

I really appreciated the repurposing of the village's old houses for tourism. The staff was very friendly and made us feel truly at home. The only downside is the dining room, which is perhaps a bit small. Another space could be used for more comfortable seating. A small suggestion for further improvement: it would be helpful to start breakfast a little earlier (even providing the necessary equipment in the apartments, given the possibility of using the kitchen), considering that the mountains offer their best first thing in the morning.

Fantastic experience

I had a wonderful stay at an excellent agriturismo in the mountains with some friends last December. Both the food and the view were exceptional. The agriturismo's cuisine was superb, with delicious dishes that delighted us every day. The local products used were fresh and high-quality, making every meal an unforgettable experience. The intense and authentic flavors of the local dishes truly won us over. Special mention must be made of the Cassis liqueur they make, which accompanied all our most memorable moments. But it wasn't just the food that impressed us. This splendid, fully renovated village is also the starting point for many excursions. The view from the property was breathtaking. The surrounding mountains were majestic, and their beauty left us speechless. We were fortunate to have such spectacular views right outside our window.
