We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Ciasa Costadedoi, enjoying excellent comfortable accommodation with great amenities. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the incredibly kind and friendly host, Ulrike. We had a fantastic skiing experience with fresh snow and look forward to returning here again.
First time in Alta Badia we booked the Cresta apartment half way the mountain. The apartment is located approximately 200m above La Villa which also gives you an incredible snowy view on the apposing mountain. Due to its location away from the town it provides you a relaxing quietness. Furthermore, the owners are very nice, the daily bread service is wonderful and it is a good place for skiing.
This was our third time here, the very first in winter time. We absolutely love the position of the house, the layout and the equipment of the flats. Everything's brand new or recently renovated with cozy wooden materials.
The hosts are really nice and open to any suggestion.
The bus stop right in front of the structure is a plus both in summer and winter time.
We've already booked for next summer and next winter as well, always looking forward to return!
A well appointed clean apartment with great views. Excellent restaurant just across the road and a short stroll into San Casciano. We used the apartment as a base for hiking - very centrally located. We had a really fun week and the host is on hand to offer advice. Has a lovely garden for relaxing in.
We spent a very enjoyable stay at the apartment in Ciasa Laoi as a family with two children. The owners are exceptionally kind, helpful and welcoming — from the very beginning we felt truly at home. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very warm and excellently equipped. The kitchen deserves special mention: it has everything needed for everyday use, including a dishwasher with tablets, as well as basic spices and olive oil, which is a big plus after travelling. On site there is a ski storage room and a parking space, partially covered. Another great advantage is the close proximity of the ski bus stop, which takes you free of charge directly to the lift — a very convenient solution, especially when travelling with children. Excellent conditions for skiers and families. We definitely recommend it and would be happy to return!
The apartment was immaculately clean, modern, and well appointed, and the location was excellent - directly across the street from the ski bus stop, with frequent local service to Piz Sorega as well as the hourly bus that connects the entire Dolomiti Superski area. A nice feature was the heated ski and boot room, available 24 hours a day, which made drying skis and boots quick and easy after long days on the mountain. Ulrike is delightful and clearly cares deeply about her guests’ experience. This is a family-owned and run property, with Ulrike and Richard living on site full time. As locals, their warmth, pride, and knowledge of the area really come through.
Something to be aware of is the internet being turned off overnight (12:00 AM–7:00 AM). We understand this may reflect local custom and a desire for quiet hours, and of course no accommodation can meet every guest’s needs. That said, for American travelers - especially those needing to stay connected for work - it’s worth knowing in advance. Laundry is available via a shared washing machine for a small fee, which was less of an issue but also something to be aware of. Overall, this was a terrific stay, and we felt fortunate to find availability. We had a very positive experience and would be happy to return, particularly for a ski-focused visit in San Cassiano.
Well-equipped apartment with beautiful view and very responsive host
Although the apartment is located rather high up the mountain, it was very easy to find, road was good and it has convenient parking right next to the house. The host Cindi was extremely kind and responsive, she came to welcome us in person and showed everything around the house, despite our arrival time changed due to a delayed flight and long driving, so we arrived late in the evening.
There is a separate room for ski boots with a dryer in basement, which was very practical. We stayed in a three-bedroom apartment, and all the rooms were spacious, each with its own private bathroom. The mattresses were firm and supportive for excellent sleep. The apartment also has a large balcony and beautiful view on the mountains.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes an induction cooktop. For those who plan to cook at home a lot, please note that there is no oven, but there is a microwave. All necessary kitchen utensils are provided, along with a coffee machine and espresso makers.
A big thank you to our host, Cindi, who helped us with many useful tips during our stay. A particularly nice touch was also the possibility to order fresh bread with early morning delivery. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place.
We had a wonderful stay at Ciasa Laói and couldn’t have chosen a better place for our family ski holiday. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and perfectly located for enjoying the slopes and the beautiful surroundings of San Cassiano.
What truly made our stay special were the owners – incredibly kind, polite, and always helpful, making us feel very welcome from the first day. Everything was well organized and stress-free, which is exactly what you want when travelling with family.
