La Villa: Hotels, B&B, Residence and holiday apartments

The village is called Stern in german and La Ila by the Ladin inhabitants; the village of La Villa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the center of Alta Badia. It is dominated on one side by the massif Gardenazza and on the other side by the top of Piz La Ila - on which there is the well-known refuge Moritzino - a reference point for the trips of skiers in the ski carousel Dolomiti Superski. There are two wonderful ski slopes that lead down from Piz La Villa to the country: the red pist Alting and the famous Gran Risa (with a pendence up to 53%) where the giant slalom, alpine skiing discipline, of the World Cup takes place. On the side of the Gardenazza the homonymous slope leads down to the valley, is suitable for beginners and is connected with the ski tour S. Croce. In summer, Stern - La Ila (at an altitude of 1483m) is a quiet village, ideal base for several activities in the Dolomites like magnificent hiking and biking tours up to incredible flights with the paraglide or hang glide.
